Yuhu Cold Chain Hosts Export and Hong Kong‑Bound Business Seminar, Three Export Pathways Empower Merchants’ Global Expansion

On 19 August 2026, the Export and Hong Kong‑Bound Business Exchange Seminar, hosted by Yuhu Cold Chain (Guangzhou) Trading Centre, was successfully held at the park. Representatives from the Huadu District Bureau of Commerce, the Huadu District Import and Export Chamber of Commerce, and merchants of Yuhu Cold Chain Guangzhou Park attended the event. The seminar provided an in‑depth interpretation of three major export pathways, and discussions covered topics such as the park’s export product selection centre, policy support, and phased implementation plans – systematically clarifying export routes for park enterprises and precisely aligning policy resources.

Policy Sets the Tone First – Pilot Expansion Proceeds Steadily

At the seminar, Ms. Liu Lijun, Director of the Market Procurement Trade Centre of Huadu District Bureau of Commerce, presented the policy direction and implementation arrangements. She noted that Yuhu Cold Chain has completed the initial filing for market procurement trade and has been designated as a key export cluster zone. The government encourages merchants to pilot first; once the initial pilot phase successfully completes the processes for existing categories, permissions for special categories such as frozen products and Hong Kong‑bound goods will be gradually expanded. This message sent a positive signal to the merchants and laid a clear policy foundation for the subsequent detailed interpretation of the three export models.

Three Export Models – Precisely Matching Diverse Needs

The seminar systematically interpreted three export pathways, each tailored to different types of enterprises:

       1039 Market Procurement Trade Model

Explained by Mr. Wen Bihong, General Manager of Guangzhou Market Procurement Trade Service Station. This model allows compliant exports without input VAT invoices, exempts brand authorisation, has a declaration limit of USD 150,000 per consignment, exempts VAT, and keeps the total tax burden below 6%. The Guangzhou pilot now covers 86 countries and regions, making it particularly suitable for small and medium‑sized merchants with multiple categories and small‑batch exports.

       0110 General Trade Model

Presented by Mr. Wu Wenju, Senior Manager of Supply Chain Services at Yuhu Cold Chain. This model has no restrictions on destination countries and covers all compliant markets worldwide. It is ideal for manufacturers or brand master distributors with large volumes, single categories, and stable supply sources, complementing the 1039 model effectively.

       Hong Kong‑Bound Food Registration Pathway

Ms. Huang Zhenghong, Executive Director of Hong Kong Yuhu Group, focused on the Hong Kong‑bound business system. Hong Kong’s annual food imports exceed HKD 200 billion, making it the third largest export destination for the mainland, with re‑export capabilities. Products can be test‑marketed for three months to verify suitability for Asian markets. Through cooperation with the Hong Kong Quality Assurance Agency, Yuhu Cold Chain can shorten the certification cycle from the traditional 6‑9 months to 3‑6 weeks. Products with traceability QR codes can also command brand premiums in domestic sales.

Strengthening Implementation Support – Helping Merchants Expand Steadily

Once the policy pathways are clear, implementation support becomes equally critical. Yuhu Cold Chain integrates the park’s physical infrastructure, end‑to‑end services, and government policy backing to build a comprehensive export assurance system.

Mr. Zhang Chunhua, Vice Chairman of Yuhu Cold Chain Guangzhou Company, detailed the park’s export implementation support. Currently, the park has set up a standardised export product selection centre on the second floor of Building A1, offering four types of display options: temporary exhibition areas, upright cabinets, horizontal cabinets, and independent booths. Dedicated sales attendants are on duty to present products and interface with overseas buyers.

In terms of end‑to‑end services, the park can assist with individual business registration, covering customs declaration, inspection and quarantine, cross‑border logistics, foreign exchange settlement, and tax completion. It also organises regular overseas exhibitions and buyer matching events, with 3‑4 overseas inspection trips arranged each year to help merchants continuously expand their overseas channels.

Phased Rollout – Steadily Expanding the Export Territory

According to information announced at the seminar, the park’s pilot application process will advance in three phases. Phase 1 will trial pre‑packaged food, rice, flour, grains, and oils among the initial pool of nearly 30 pilot merchants, first establishing export routes to 86 countries. Phase 2 will apply for export qualifications for frozen and cold‑chain products. Phase 3 will launch the Hong Kong‑bound dedicated channel, building a standardised corridor for goods to Hong Kong.

Leveraging the Platform – Embracing a New Growth Cycle with Merchants

Overseas expansion is not the exclusive preserve of large corporations; small and medium‑sized food enterprises can also seize globalisation opportunities. The key lies in choosing the right pathway and the right platform. Yuhu Cold Chain is committed to standardising complex export processes, consolidating dispersed service resources, and channelling distant overseas markets, enabling more food enterprises to go global with agility.

Looking ahead, Yuhu Cold Chain (Guangzhou) Trading Centre will continue to deepen its export service capabilities by regularly holding export guidance sessions, organising overseas business visits, improving the selection centre’s operations, and expanding overseas buyer networks – joining hands with park merchants to embrace a new cycle of global growth.
